Skunky


Skunky, Half British White Half Holstein.  You can see what Skunky's father
looked like at 15 years old.  Bud is still alive at the age of 21.
I owned Skunky until it became clear that she produced more milk then I
needed for her raising one calf a year. I sold her as to a family looking
for a milk cow.  They raised bummer calves off her and still had enough milk
for the family.  She would normally produce about 5 gallons of milk a day
while feeding a calf, her lactation drop off was very minimal up to 14 months into lactation.
